Skew House, Pančevo, Serbia
Designed by Danilo Dangubić Architects, Skew House is an award-winning multi-family residential development that reinterprets contemporary urban housing through a careful balance of functionality, environmental performance, and architectural expression. The building derives its name from the skewed geometry of the site, transforming an irregular plot into a defining architectural feature. Its distinctive façade combines floor-to-ceiling glazing with movable perforated aluminium panels, creating a dynamic composition that continuously changes with light, shadow, and the daily activities of its residents.
Tehnomarket supplied the LINEAL Therm 77 aluminium window and balcony door systems, providing high thermal performance, excellent daylight transmission, and seamless integration with the building’s innovative façade concept. The large glazed openings enhance natural ventilation and strengthen the connection between interior living spaces and the surrounding environment, while supporting the project’s ambitious energy-efficiency objectives.
Recognized with the Architizer A+Award and the BIG SEE Architecture Award, Skew House demonstrates how advanced aluminium systems can complement innovative residential architecture, combining contemporary aesthetics, occupant comfort, and high-performance building envelope technologies in a distinctive urban landmark.
