The Ecobank Headquarters in Accra is one of West Africa’s most prominent office developments, comprising more than 18,000 m² of premium commercial space. Designed as a landmark corporate headquarters, the building showcases contemporary architecture through its distinctive elliptical form, layered façade composition, and high-performance building envelope that responds to both the region’s climate and the client’s ambitious sustainability objectives.

Tehnomarket supplied the ALUMINIK CS55 Continual curtain wall system, forming nearly 13,000 m² of glazed façade across the complex. The façade is complemented by vertical and horizontal aluminium sun-shading elements together with a sophisticated double-skin façade (DSF) constructed from perforated aluminium panels. This advanced façade solution combines exceptional thermal performance, effective solar control, and a refined architectural appearance, while the ALUMINIK CS55 Continual system has been independently tested to achieve a curtain wall thermal transmittance of Ucw = 0.64 W/m²K.

A defining architectural feature of the project is its sculptural glass envelope, crowned by a transparent glazed top section that extends beyond the roofline and emphasizes the building’s elegant curved geometry. The perforated secondary façade, finished in Euramax Moonstone coating and supported by a custom-designed aluminium substructure developed specifically for the project, creates depth, visual rhythm, and enhanced environmental performance while maintaining the building’s iconic architectural identity.
